To day my class and I made soy candles, What you need is a measuring spoon, measuring cup, pouring jar, double boiler, tea light holders, wicks, and a thermometer. First you need to fill the pot to half way then put a pouring jug inside the double boiler. (Tip) Make sure the jug is metal. Then if you have soy wax put it in the pouring jug and stir it around, make sure you stir it around before it gets hard and it sticks to the sides. the use your thermometer to check the temperature. Make sure the temperature is 75 degrees then put it in the measuring cup and pour it into the tea light holders. Then let it harden, Here is mine enjoy your candles.

 

Mindcraft party glasses

last week my class and I made mind craft party glasses. It took us some time to make it but we got it but some people are still working on their glasses. My similes

Today my class and I did some similes. What we did was first was make a doc and put it in our writing folder, then we put three texts boxes on the doc then we  put our similes in the text box. We all did three similes each then we did our background this is how mine turned out I hope you like it :)

 What i saw at the  museum

at the museum I saw a volcano room this volcano room was amazing it had every fact about the volcano. Then I saw this room that was shaking so I  told the parent helper can I go in the room. When the parent helper said yes me and my group started walking  to the room as we went to the room we heard screaming and shaking sounded like a volcano erupted. Then when it stopped all the people that was in there came out so we could go in. when we went in there was a siding door with a fake volcanic screen. There was also a shaking floor. It shook us I was laughing because they were screaming.when the show stopped (what we thought) we got up but it shook again and we got scared. Then when the show stopped we all got up and the teacher guided us threw each doors. Then we separated into our normal groups then we met at the marei. this was my favorite part they explained to us about a taonga and what it is. A taonga is a maori language word witch refers to a treasured possession. Due to the lack of a direct to English and the significance of its use in the treaty  of waitangi, the word was widley adopted into Newzeland English as a loanword.

Yesterday we went to the museum and our school was nice enough to provide us with a trip to the museum. So we got notices to sign to have permission to go to the museum. I got permission to go to the museum i gave the slip to  the office. Then our teacher put us into groups of 4 or 5 people. Thank you to those helpers if we didn't have any helpers we were not aloud to go. thank you some much. Here are some of the photos enjoy.  so sorry its blurry but this was the only one with me in it.

Film Festival Reflection

 How did you feel about the film making process and why? I feel great about the film making process because it’s a really fun thing to do. Plus you can edit if you have any errors. Or you can do any kind of editing.

What did you enjoy? I enjoyed editing and filming the video and making it 

What did you learn? I learned how to edit and put in songs and put in  beats,ringing bells, alarms, and children laughing. 

What was challenging? The most challenging part was when we had to find the music to fit in. With  our best videos.

If you could go back in time to the beginning of the term, what would you do differently? I would change the title of our film 

To sally science and make a film about science but I'm alright with the new girl being the title of our film.

Last week i went on a ferry to waiheke island. 

it was very fun. I went with my mum,dad,sister and brother. 

So we decided to go to the city we had lunch then my dad decided we should go on a ferry to waiheke island. so we all agreed and booked tickets. then they boarded us to the boat. We went all the way up to the top of the boat. We started from the city and went to waiheke island. Here's a picture of waiheke island this is were i was.

  

Making Butter

A day ago me and my class were making butter. We made the butter out of cream and we had to shake it in a jar bottle. It was fun making and I had lots of fun with my class mates. It is also cool because you can use the left over milk in the jar for other stuff. At the end of making our butter we also got to eat our butter with toast . It was yum and creamy. Making Plants

Today my class and i got Mini plants. 

so first we put the soil tablet in 50ml of water. Then we watched it grow. Then we put the soil in and filled it up to 2 center meters. Then you put the sheet with the seeds on it. Then cover it with the remaining soil. To make sure its healthy by watering the plants everyday then leave it in the sun.

 

Cooking

 Today we did the skids cooking session with the skids people. The food was sponsored by nestle and we made thank you cards for the nestle people. It was fun and it was yum. We made Carbonara which is a meal which is spaghetti . Thanks Skids and Nestle!!!

Making stress balls

me and my whole made a stress ball out of rice this is mine

and this is how you make one 

1. get 3 balloons (i recommend) helium balloons 

2.  blow up 1 balloon and twist the balloon 

3. then you'll need a plastic bottle 

4. you want put the balloon over the bottle 

5. make sure the bottle is filled with rice

6. then put the rice into the balloon

7. take the balloon of the bottle and cut the tip

8. then you want to cut one of your other balloon tip 

9. then put it on the bottom of the new balloon on the one filled with rice

10 you can add 3 layers or 2

And that's how you make one

 Hello world of bloggers yesterday we made a poster about Tongan language week. We had to write down 5 facts about Tonga and this mine.

My mothers day writing

Mother’s day 

On mother's day we had all the mothers from our family together.We had some food which was otai
and mango (Tongan Drink ). After we had Lu kapa pulu- ( Taro leaves with beef). Which is my favorite
food. After eating a delicious lunch we had Trifle.

As we were playing with  cards and the game Bus stop. Which is the bus stop game which helps you get
the speed of writing.

Then after our granddad called us into the house so we can do our prayer.So that we could have dinner.
As we finished we, then after did our own personal prayers then we Ate. I ate Sausage,potato salad,
prawns,lu kapa pulu and otai. That's what I ate. And all My Other cousins had so much more food
than I had.

 I had a very fun day with my cousins. But then they had to go at the end of the day but one cousin wanted
to stay so my mum said¨ ok. And that was the end of my mother's day.
